DESCRIPTION:\n \n \nSAVE THE DATE\n \n \n \nRolling Greens at Dutchess Golf & Country Club \n \n2628 South Road\n \nPoughkeepsie, NY  12601\n\n \n \n \nAlthough the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 reduced the importance of estate tax planning for many, it certainly did not obviate the need for estate plans for non–tax reasons such as asset protection, guardianship, elder law and special needs planning. It is estimated that over 40 million Americans have disabilities, one in seven. As our population ages, it is anticipated that an even higher percentage of our population will have a disability. In this climate, planning for seniors and individuals with disabilities takes on increased importance in our estate planning practice. Mr. Krooks will discuss various elder law and special needs planning techniques, along with pertinent tax considerations, which will become even more important in today’s environment. In addition, he will discuss the New York State ramifications of the 2010 Tax Act as well as planning issues for same–sex couples incident to the Marriage Equality Act.\n \n  \nAndreas P. Nicolades, CFP, AEP\n \nSecretary \n  \n  \n  \nSee "Related Douments" below for complete information. \n  \n \nRSVP: payment due by September 14, 2011 \n
